On September 11th 2009 New York Yankee captain Derek Jeter collected his 2722 hit surpassing Lou Gehrigs record for a Bronx Bomber. Jeter added another highlight to his Hall of Fame resume which already includes a Rookie of the Year Award 10 All-Star appearances 3 Gold Gloves and most importantly 4 World Series Championships. Gehrig had held the record for 70 years but there was no person more suited to take his place than Jeter who already had the record for hits in the original Yankee Stadium. This In The Game collage commemorates his achievement of passing Lou Gehrig as the all-time Yankees hits leader and feature actual dirt from Yankee Stadium on the actual photo. A Yankees-Steiner Letter of Authenticity is included as well as an MLB Hologram to authentic the piece.
